If you are looking for something a little different then stay in our totally private, beautiful bush cabin.
The cabin Situated only 20 minutes drive from New Plymouth at the base of the Pouakai ranges.
There is covered parking available at the hosts residence for vehicles.

A five minute walk through native bush along a well formed track will bring you a lovely little bush glen where this cabin has been built.

This cabin is an adults only retreat where you can leave the kids behind and unwind in this private location. The bathroom features a large bath with an outlook into the bush and above to the night sky. There is no need to block out the views here with the worry that people can look in, you will only be sharing your time with the wood pigeons and Tuis. And if you really are worried, then turn the lights off and bath under the star light with the overhead glass panels.

In the living area there is a large king size bed, three seater couch, table and chairs. All the windows look out onto the surrounding native bush.

This cabin as been built out of numerous recycled and environmentally friendly products like Mod wood and Onduline. Only environmentally friendly products are used for cleaning, there is even a "green" vacuum cleaner.
The cabin is powered by solar panels and has a Studio Oven with wetback for the hot water. Meals can be cooked using the studio oven or there is a gas hob.

The property is really easy to find. The address is 1878 Mangorei Road, New Plymouth. Once you are on Mangorei Road you just keep driving until the road end and the walking track starts. You will see the sign on the right hand side for Pouakai Cabins.
